About

Watch me weave a Moses basket and chat sticks!

I’m a willow-worker based in Blanefield, Stirlingshire, weaving in my yurt-workshop at the foot of the Campsie hills. I mostly weave baskets and teach basketry, but also plant and maintain living willow structures such as domes, tunnels and arbors.

A former market and community gardener, I am  inspired by connecting to nature and our ancestral roots by weaving beauty out of what natural resources we have around us: from the start of my weaving days, foraging for wild materials as our ancestors once did has been a hallmark of my style and values.

My work blends highly traditional, peasant basketry techniques with modern aesthetics, creating pieces designed to meet the practical needs of (predominantly) contemporary gardeners and foragers.
