Saturday August 22nd - Weave a berry picking basket workshop

Join me at my yurt-workshop in Blanefield, at the foot of the Campsie hills, to weave your very own berry picking basket - just in time for wild berry season! This is a one-day class which serves as a perfect introduction to the craft for complete beginners, while also offering opportunities to further develop skills for those who've woven before. We'll cover the fundamental skills of round willow basketry, such as pairing, waling, randing, trac borders and very simple 'pegged' handles. All tools and materials are provided. 

The class will run from 10am-4pm on Saturday 22nd August. My workshop is just outside of Strathblane/Blanefield, which is 30 minutes North of Glasgow. I will provide tea and coffee, please bring a packed lunch with you.
